There's a great reason to pick up your camper in the Midlands...

the abundance of fantastic places to visit and camp that are all within just a few hours drive or less. Our depot is less than two miles from junction 4 of the M5 which means that the M6, M40 and M42 are also just on the doorstep. So whatever way your compass points, you can soon be on your way.

There are too many fabulous camper destinations within reach to list, but here are some popular suggestions.

 

Going North

The Lake District is England 's largest National Park, The beautiful Lake District is somewhere you can walk, cycle and splash about with more than 3,500 kilometres of rights of way and 12 of the largest lakes in England.

Enjoy the scenery with a hike on the felltops; canoe, sail or fish on the rivers, lakes or coast; hire a boat from the Coniston Boating Centre or picnic on the lakeshore or check out some of the many places of interest in this region.

Consider also visiting The Peak District, Wild Brontë country and The Witches Trail in Lancashire, the towering cathedral and ruined castles in County Durham or take to the bracing Heritage Coast , stopping off at Whitby Abbey, where Bram Stoker's Count Dracula landed in Yorkshire.

 

Going East

Slightly less hilly than the North, to the East of Birmingham are plenty of great camping spots and beautiful places to visit. Rutland Water in Leicestershire is Britain 's largest inland lake and if it is water you are after, why not explore the varied Norfolk and Suffolk coastline along The Wash with stretches of sandy beaches, steep cliffs and isolated rocky coves.

For outstanding architecture both old and new, it is hard to beat a visit to Cambridge as the beauty of its ancient centre is preserved with its walkable medieval streets, college courts, gardens and bridges.

Going South

Devon and Cornwall might be known as the gateway to campervan heaven, but that is not to say that there aren't many other great areas to explore in your camper too and many under an hour away from the collection point. The Malvern Hills, The Cotswolds, Bath . . . just set off into the afternoon sunset, park up at your chosen campsite and put your feet up and enjoy the view by teatime!

Slightly further afield, but still very manageable are other favourites including The New Forest, the spectacular Dorset coastline, the traditional coatal resort of Bournemouth and known as the 'Garden Isle' thanks to its unusually warm climate - The Isle of Wight.

Going West

Wales is a superb place from which to enjoy your camper. The Pembrokeshire Coast National Park offers stunning scenery and a wonderful hiking trail or there is the Gower Peninsula with pounding surf, sweeping beaches and limestone cliffs. Villages with tongue-twisting names are en-route waiting to be explored - many with cosy Welsh pubs serving up a pint of local ale in this country that is also home to some amazing castles.

Not forgetting all there is to see and do in stunning Snowdonia, a visit to Portmeirion with its vision of Italian classicism or for those who like adrenaline sports - Llandudno, Wales is a perfect choice for all family members.
