Insurance Checklist

Your hire cost covers insurance for one driver who meets the standard insurance criteria set by our insurers. Additional drivers who also meet the criteria can be added to the hire for an extra £5 per 24 hours.

If any driver doesn't meet this criteria, it may still be possible to insure them, but we need to know before we can confirm your booking to make sure we can clear it with the underwriters. Failure to notify us of anything could invalidate your insurance and mean that you are effectively driving the vehicle illegally.

The answers to these questions need to be yes (otherwise we will need to get clearence from the underwriters).

1. Are you between 23 and 70 years of age?
   Drivers under 23 or over 70 need to be referred for approval. The excess might be increased.
    
2. Do you have 6 or less points on your licence?
   Over 6 points need to be referred.
    
3. Have you held a full driving licence for at least 2 years?

The answers to these questions need to be no (otherwise we will need to get clearence from the underwriters).

1. Have you ever been convicted of an offence with the driving of a motor vehicle or motorbike within the last three years or had your licence endorsed at any time?
    
2. Do you have any mental of physical infirmity that may invalidate your insurance?
    
3. Have you ever had your insurance declined?
    
4. Are you involved in professional entertainment or a professional sports person?
    
5. Are you a student / undergraduate under 23?
    
6. Have you been involved in more than one accident whilst driving during the past 3 years?
    
7. Are you a Foreign Service Personnel who wasn't born in the UK?

Please contact us if you would like an additional driver so we can add it to your hire quote. Please be aware the deposit/bond authorization/swipe of £250 is required and would cover minor damage, late return fees and any refuelling charges incurred.

 

Minimum hire period / charge 4 hours. Additional drivers and more than 6 points on licence extra.
